NWP Writing Strand at NCTE Convention

The NWP Annual Meeting is held in conjunction with the NCTE Annual Convention, which features a writing strand, Writing and Reading in the Content Areas, offered by the NWP. The strand of NWP workshops will be held at the Javits Convention Center, Level 1, Hall 1A, Room 1A11.

We encourage you to register for the NCTE Convention and attend Saturday’s NWP Writing Strand.

New York City Writing Marathon

8:45am - 12:00pm Crowne Plaza, 4th floor, Room 403/404
NWP's host site, the New York City Writing Project, invites you to write for yourself, experience the area as a writer, and meet NWP colleagues by joining the New York City Writing Marathon. Participants will gather beginning at 8:45 a.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Be sure to bring your favorite journal and fastest pen.

NWP Booth at NCTE

Friday, noon – 6:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Sunday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Hall 1C, Level 1, #422-424

Be sure to stop by the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and visit the NWP exhibit booth at this year’s NCTE Convention. NWP staff and local teacher-consultants will be on hand to provide information about writing project programs. The booth will also feature a game, publications, and materials from NWP and local writing project sites.
