: Orientation to the Annual Meeting

This orientation session will highlight strategies for making the most of your attendance at the Annual Meeting. Especially designed for first-time attendees, the session will help you identify which sessions are more applicable to site development and which to classroom practice. Ample time will be dedicated for participants to ask specific questions.

: New and Potential Sites Information Meeting

Are you interested in starting an NWP site at your university? This meeting will offer information about planning and creating a new site. We will share valuable insights and experiences, and discuss ideas related to the process of starting a site. Bring your questions.
: Looking at the Common Core Standards: An Open Conversation

Join us in a discussion of the new Common Standards developed by CCSSO and the National Governors Association. How is your state responding to the standards draft? How will these standards affect the ways that we teach writing, reading, and speaking/listening in all subject areas? Copies of the standards will be available.
