2009 Spring Meeting—Friday, April 3
The meeting continues on Friday, April 3, at the Washington Court Hotel. A continental breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m., and the meeting starts at 8:30.
Keynote Speech
Jacqueline Jones Royster, professor of English at The Ohio State University, will address the meeting in a talk titled "Responsible Citizenship in a Global Environment." Royster has written a number of books, covering topics such as feminism, literacy, rhetoric, and women of African American descent. Her book Traces of a Stream: Literacy and Social Change Among African American Women (University of Pittsburgh, 2000) received the 2001 Mina P. Shaughnessy Prize from the Modern Language Association.
