2011 Spring Meeting Highlights

More than 300 teachers and site leaders, representing more than 40 states and the District of Columbia, attended NWP's 2011 Spring Meeting, which was full of engaging conversations about improving the teaching of writing in the nation's schools.

Kelly Gallagher, co-director of the former South Basin Writing Project and author of the book Readicide, entertained the crowd with stories of making reading even more interesting for students.

Senator Thad Cochran Address NWP

Sen. Thad Cochran of Mississippi spoke of his great admiration for the National Writing Project and pledged his continued support of the organization and its teachers.
