NWP communicates information to site directors and site leaders through a system of electronic "site bulletins" that are sent regularly at the beginning and middle of each month via email.

NWP NATIONAL EVALUATION SCORING CONFERENCE OPPORTUNITY ––
NWP is recruiting scorers for a scoring conference in Chicago, September 24-27. In addition to travel expenses, each scorer will receive a $500 stipend. Interested teacher-consultants should have experience with middle school students, but no previous scoring experience is required. Learn more and apply online by August 15.

WRITE-IN FOR WRITING: DEADLINE JULY 31! ––
Please join site leaders, teacher-consultants, and summer institute participants from across the country in the Write-In for Writing campaign. This is a great opportunity to share your writing project experiences with your senators and representatives and to thank them for their support. Please send letters directly to your legislators using the “contact” page on their websites or by faxing to their offices. Find websites and fax numbers at www.senate.gov and www.house.gov. Remember to send a note to publicaffairs@nwp.org to update us. Deadline: July 31.
CONTRIBUTE WRITING TO SMITHSONIAN PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT —
The NWP community is invited to contribute writing about the impact of photography in their lives to the Smithsonian Photography Initiative, “click!” Submit by August 1 to be considered for publication on the “click!” website before the project opens to the public this fall. Sites are invited to develop writing prompts this summer and encourage institute participants and teacher-consultants to submit their writing. Deadline: August 1.
