2008 E-Anthology

May 19 – August 29, 2008

The NWP E-Anthology is an online forum for invitational summer institute participants to publish their writing and reflections. It is facilitated by experienced writing project teacher-consultants from around the country in coordination with NWP staff.

Purpose

The E-Anthology was developed with three main purposes:

  • to introduce summer institute participants to the national network of sites
  • to serve as an online writers' publication and response group site
  • to provide a collegial online forum for writing project teachers.

The E-Anthology has been very successful when integrated into the ongoing work of the invitational summer institute. It is an extension of the summer institute: instead of sharing writing and reflections only with members of one site, E-Anthology participants have the opportunity to share their writing with a national audience of teachers.

Past participants have posted a wide variety of content— instructional resources, descriptions of their sites and institutes, comments about high-stakes testing, responses to readings, drafts of stories, original poetry, and much more.

Registration

The person registering a site for the 2008 E-Anthology should be its designated e-facilitator. Registration will prompt an automatic notification to the site director, but the e-facilitator will receive all subsequent bulletins related to the E-Anthology.

Please remember that the e-facilitator will be responsible for registering all participants in the site's summer institute for the E-Anthology. Institute participants must first have their own NWPi accounts so that the e-facilitator can register them for the E-Anthology.

Deadline: June 30, 2008
