Where: Crowne Plaza Times Square Hotel, 5th floor, Room 504
Presenter(s):

Through the practice of critical inquiry we will examine what is presently understood or assumed about Indigenous peoples in the United States. Participants will also engage in a “gallery walk” to peruse a display of primary and secondary resources that document the “American narrative” through the voices of both colonizing America and Indigenous America. This session will offer a variety of teaching strategies, related articles, resources, and books regarding Indigenous perspectives, which will be particularly useful for English language learner classrooms.
