B26 Reading the Research: Rural Leaders, Rural Places

What are the problems, privileges, and possibilities of education in rural places? Members of the Rural Sites Network Leadership Team will guide participants in a reading of a current article that focuses on the challenges and possibilities in rural education. We will hold a discussion of the article that encompasses these issues and addresses the question of how rurality and a sense of place influence school leaders’ beliefs about the purposes of local schooling and their theories of action.

When: Friday, 3:30pm - 5:30pm
Where: Crowne Plaza Times Square Hotel, 15th floor, Room 1505
