Facilitators of this workshop will engage participants in designing a menu of open institutes to increase access to writing project programs. Open institutes provide valuable access to teachers, may address a diversity of topics, and serve as an important entry point for recruiting for the summer invitational institute. Site leaders and teacher-consultants attending this workshop will develop a broad set of ideas for using open institutes strategically to build the capacity of their local site.
