This workshop will explore the evolving nature of writing and literacy today and the significance of the ever-changing landscape for educators. Focusing on case studies in which students and teachers make their own media—from newsletters to digital stories to online radio podcasts to collaborative online stories—participants will write about, reflect upon, and discuss the implications of what they observe in these studies for their own work as educators and for the work of their local writing project sites.
