Being a leader for equity and democracy, whether in your classroom, your school, or your writing project site, often means engaging in difficult talk. In this workshop, leaders from four writing project sites guide participants through a series of experiences designed to elicit significant dialog dealing with diversity and equity. Throughout the workshop participants will reflect on these experiences in order to think about, problem-solve, and scaffold participation in difficult talk in your own contexts.
