QuestionsA9 Making Digital Compositions the New Language Arts Essay
In this session you will learn how two different writing project teachers have used digital composition to teach basic writing skills and, in the process, have changed the social and political dimensions of the learning environment. Leslie Moitoza of the Bay Area Writing Project and Gary Ryan of the Gateway Writing Project will provide examples of student multimedia compositions and discuss how each step in the drafting process reflects an increase in techno-literacy, problem solving, and collaboration, while honoring traditional writing and reading skills.
