How can technology best support NWP’s mission to achieve equity and diversity? Funded by Technology Matters minigrants, two technology liaisons tackled the issue. Lynne Culp will present the use of a closed online environment to encourage a conversation on race conducted by secondary students and their teachers. Kevin Hodgson will share how technology was used to advance his site’s work with the ELL network, Project Outreach, and the Reading Initiative. Through small-group inquiry and discussion, participants will analyze ways the aims of diversity and the power of technology intersect and discuss how to carry the convergence forward.
