Participants in this workshop will explore the benefits of partnership work with leaders from three sites that are currently engaged in successful ongoing partnerships. Such partnerships often use a wide variety of strategies to support teachers, including mentoring, curriculum development, assessment study groups, model lessons, and workshops. In addition, long-term partnerships with schools and districts provide rich contexts for ambitious work in schools and engage teachers, and often administrators, in inquiry into the practice of teaching writing, the processes of student learning, and issues of equity.
