The NWP’s New-Teacher Initiative Leadership Team takes participants through an inquiry process as they investigate dissemination documents developed by the team and by the outside researcher Inverness Research Associates. After a brief inquiry, participants will work in concurrent roundtable sessions focusing on the following topics: 1) Using various processes and protocols for reading professional literature with new teachers; 2) Making the case internally and externally for working with new teachers; 3) Developing summer institutes and year-round programs for new teachers. Site leaders and teacher-consultants will leave with resources and information to assist them in developing new-teacher programs.
