Participants in this session will read a short article and engage in a series of writing activities that support inquiry into how language affects our work as teachers in the classroom and as teacher-leaders at our local sites. We will explore how language can support stereotypes about students, teachers, and schools, and will offer strategies to counteract this support. This interactive workshop includes reading, writing, and discussion.
