In this session we explore free content management systems, such as Drupal and Joomla, that can streamline the way a site recruits summer institute participants, offers continuity programs, and markets professional development opportunities. After years of trying different tools, we’ve recognized that careful attention to these technologies can help us build more vibrant websites for our local sites and assist us in constructing viable state networks. This session will help participants think conceptually about site needs and the specific ways that online technologies can help meet those needs.
