QuestionsA16 Strategic Planning and Leadership Development
This session explores the twin processes of strategic planning and leadership development, and their role in growing a strong NWP site. We focus especially on the partnership of directors and teacher-leaders in visioning, setting priorities, and carrying out the work. Using the language of our Continued Funding Applications as a framework, we’ll discuss how the three core elements of the NWP model—invitational institutes, continuity, and school-based inservice—work together in a site’s development. We’ll also demonstrate the planning tools created for the Directors Retreat and engage participants in sharing stories, struggles, and successes from their own sites.
