B21 Policy Recommendations About Writing Instruction—Ideas for Using Writing Next and Similar Reports
Join the conversation about the recently published report Writing Next, a meta-analysis of experimental research on effective strategies for writing instruction. At a time when writing is becoming more visible as a skill that everyone needs, writing project sites will want to think strategically about making the most of reports and documents that help make a case for improving the teaching of writing in schools. We’ll discuss the ways this report challenges or supports prevailing practices, and speculate on how sites can use its recommendations to position themselves in their schools and districts. Copies of Writing Next will be available.
