What challenges and possibilities are associated with promoting content area literacy? Members of the Expanding Our Offerings for Content Area Teachers Facilitation Team will guide participants in the reading of an article that focuses on the complexities of content area literacy development. After participants read the article and participate in activities to share their understandings, facilitators will help them to develop principles for working with content area teachers and to think about how to involve content area teachers at their local writing project sites. This session is for teacher-consultants, site leaders, and directors.
