QuestionsA8 Assessing Writing with the Make-It-Better/Make-It-Worse Protocol
Learn how to use the Make-It-Better/Make-It-Worse Protocol to gain a better understanding of what your students know about writing. Attendees will 1) practice this protocol by applying it to their own writing, 2) work in small groups analyzing student writing using the MIB/MIW Protocol, 3) learn about the different ways the protocol is currently being used by teachers in classrooms of varying demographics, and 4) discuss additional uses of the MIB/MIW Protocol.
