This workshop begins with a panel discussion by a group of teacher-consultants and site directors who have put together successful writing retreats with minimal budgets and busy teachers, as evidenced by their 2006-2007 Professional Writing Retreat minigrant reports. An interactive presentation will follow the panel, covering both the nature of professional writing and the nuts and bolts of organizing a professional writing retreat.
