Miriam Ylvisaker

Miriam Ylvisaker, 1927-1994, was the associate editor of The NWP/CSW Quarterly from 1984-1990, then the editor of The Quarterly from 1990-1994. Early in her career, Ylvisaker worked as a librarian for fourteen years, and then taught English for fifteen years with the Oakland, California Unified School District. She published many articles, stories, and monographs in a variety of journals including English Journal, California English, Phi Delta Kappan, Scholastic Teach, ALA Bulletin, and Library Journal.
