Georgia Teacher Participates in Intense Summer Workshop

She said it was intense—working 12 or more hours each day for more than three weeks on writing novels and academic books, poetry, research articles and other works in various genres—and she hopes to continue her partnership with the organization in the future.

"I enjoyed having the time to write, but I was most appreciative of the feedback I received from the writing coaches and my peer reviewers," she said. "I am now part of a network of the most outstanding teachers of writing in the country."

She said the group already has started blogs, a Facebook group and other electronic communication tools to share their pieces throughout the year.
