While the KCK School District has the highest number of ESL students in the metro other Kansas school districts are starting to see growth, too. Katie Kline of the Greater Kansas City Writing Project says that they are focusing on the challenges teachers face.
"We can give time and space for teachers to think together and talk to each other about what is working in their classroom," said Kline.
