Nebraska Writing Project Offers Writing Workshop for Veterans and Active Duty Personnel

Summary: The Nebraska Writing Project has partnered with Humanities Nebraska and the Grand Island Public Library to offer writing workshops for veterans and active duty military personnel to help them build their writing skills.

Some of them want to get published when they're done and a few of them have successfully been published already,' [Chris Sommerich, executive director of Humanities Nebraska] said. 'We hope that in building their writing skills that they maybe discuss their writing with each other and work through some of the experiences they've had. Maybe they will share it with the public, either by being published or sometimes, there are public readings at the end, so the rest of us can know and appreciate what they've been through.'
