Sponsorship of the National Writing Project

2017 Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri

JOIN US in building a future where every person is an accomplished writer, engaged learner, and active participant in a digital, interconnected world. As a national network of 185 university-based sites, NWP delivers high-quality programs for schools, districts, community organizations, and higher education institutions. The depth of our continued impact depends on diverse contributors, whose interests span our areas of focus, as surely as it does on the breadth of communities we serve.

The National Writing Project (NWP) Annual Meeting brings together approximately 600 K-university teacher leaders from across the U.S. for a day-long professional development conference focused on effective teaching practices to support writing and learning across the curriculum. The 2017 NWP meeting will be held in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, November 16 prior to the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Annual Convention, which draws upwards of 5,000 educators for several days of workshops and events. In addition to holding its own one-day meeting, NWP also hosts an exhibit booth at the NCTE exhibit hall through the weekend-long convention.

NWP SEEKS YOUR SUPPORT to develop even more teachers to lead the way in writing instruction so that they may, in turn, reach young people of all ages in every kind of setting. Writers hold the keys to the digital kingdom. Please help us hand those keys to every young person.

NWP Sponsorship

Funds from sponsors are used to facilitate both face-to-face and online learning opportunities for teachers throughout NWP's national network, which reaches 100,000 educators annually. These teachers in turn teach 1.4 million students each year. In particular, sponsorship funds will be used to support teacher-participant networking; conference participation for teachers from high-need schools; and online learning experiences across the NWP Educator Innovator network following the Annual Meeting.

All Sponsors will be recognized in the NWP Annual Report. Sponsor levels and additional benefits:

  • Contributing Sponsors ($500): Contributing Sponsors will have their company name posted online on NWP Annual Meeting event page, which is visited by thousands of educators each month both before and long after the meeting.
  • Supporting Sponsors ($1,500): Supporting Sponsors will receive all of the above benefits, and will also have their company logo posted on the NWP Annual Meeting event page and printed in the Annual Meeting program.
  • Partnering Sponsors ($2,500): Partnering Sponsors will receive all of the above benefits and will also have the ability to post company signage at the Welcome and Teacher-Networking social events at the NWP Annual Meeting.
