The National Writing Project is joining Code.org to support the Hour of Code
. The largest initiative of its kind, the Hour of Code is a campaign to recruit tens of millions of students to try programming for one hour during Computer Science Education Week (December 4-10).

Calling All Students—Ages 4–104
Every student should have the opportunity to learn computer science. It helps nurture problem-solving skills, logic, and creativity. What's the Hour of Code?
It's a one-hour introduction to computer science designed to demystify code and show students that everyone can learn the basics. Code.org will provide tutorials that require no prior experience and can be done on a browser, on a smartphone, or even "unplugged."
