The National Writing Project partnered with Friends of Flight 93 in their Teach to Remember initiative, a program honored with a 2023 Excellence in Education regional award. Teach to Remember allowed students and teachers the opportunity to virtually visit Flight 93 and connect with the 9/11 attack through on-demand programs. This education program combined creative and critical thinking skills by inviting students to analyze primary documents about the story and respond by publishing writing on the National Writing Project's Write to Remember 9/11 youth site.
